One of the most rewarding things about cardmaking is being able to make and send them to special friends and family members. These small gestures show love, happiness and hopefully creates smiles.

I used the set Sunflower Sweetheart by Birdie Brown – MFT – for my card today and it is just perfect for the recipient. I hope she likes it.

I used my Distress inks to colour her up and I kept the layout clean and simple using only one sentiment.

Each month MFT – My Favorite Things – release amazing new products. I absolutely love this. I also love to look back through my older sets as there is always sets in there that I love and want to colour up time and time again. You Gnome Me is one of those sets.

I love these darling gnomes and they make such quirky cards. I wanted to keep my card clean and simple today so I have only used one image and one sentiment.

The image was coloured up with my Tim Holtz distress inks on The Langton Hot Pressed Watercolour Paper.

I am absolutely loving my Distress inks to colour my images at the moment especially cute little critters. I remembered I had the MFT Birdie Brown – Gill Friends set in my stash and I just had to colour them up. You can create all sorts of scenes and techniques just with your Distress inks alone and that’s what I have done for this card. I hope you like it.
