Love Ducks

Hello everyone 🙂 My card for today features this gorgeous image from The Paper Shelter called Love Ducks, isn’t it just darling. If you are interested you can purchase this image at thepapershelter.com 🙂 I have just purchased myself a blender pen and decided to have a go for this project, and I found it much easier to use, for me personally, than a paint brush. I seem to have more control with the blender pen than I do with a brush and water. I see so much inspritation using watercolours and I really wanted to have another go, much more like fake watercolouring but you get the same effect. I hope you like todays card and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask xx

    Holiday Time

Hello everyone 🙂 I couldn’t resist the temptation of having ago at colouring up another image from The paper shelter. She’s so adorable. This image is called Holiday time and I made her up for the embossing of any kind challenge over on The Paper Shelter blog. I coloured her in with my Prismacolor pencils on Kraft card stock and mounted her on my usual 6×6 scalloped edge pre-scored card base. The papers I’m using for this are Mambi sheets 12×12 – Friends – by me & my big ideas. It’s a very bright and beautiful paper pad and as this image screams summer it was great for this. I cut her out using the Crea-Nest XXL square, single stitched dies. The sentiment I used is taken from the set ‘From the Heart’ by Jenny Ellory and I have embossed that using my mini versamark embossing pad and some WOW white embossing powder. For a little bit extra I took a few Prima flowers from my stash and added them to the card with some glue dots. I hope you like it 🙂 and thanks for looking xx

    The Paper Shelter

Hi everyone 🙂 I treated myself the other day to my very first paper shelter digital stamp using the 18% off reward. I lovethese images all so much and it was very hard to choose just one. As it’s my brothers girlfriends birthday this month and she’s a huge Disney fan I found the perfect stamp, and she looks a little like her too. This stamp is called Adorable Cinderella and you can find her at thepapershelter.com for around $3.00. There are tons of stamps to choose from and they are all gorgeous so please hop on over to the website and take a look. As always I’ve used my 6×6 scalloped edge pre-scored card bases and to colour I’ve used my Prismacolor pencils again. I’m really loving using my pencils at the moment especially on Kraft card. I’ve matted and layered using pale pink card stock along with the princess fairytale paper pad by Dovecraft. I hope you all like it xx
